You can select all or part of a table with the keyboard as you do with any other document text. But you can do it in a more convenient and intuitive way with the mouse.
To select a table cell, hover the mouse pointer over the cell left margin until a special mouse cursor starts displaying:
Then, press the left mouse button. Atlantis will automatically select the target cell:
If you do not release the left mouse button after the click, you can drag the mouse cursor in the desired direction to select a rectangular block of cells:
Alternatively, to select a rectangular block of cells, just click in a cell, do not release the mouse button, and drag the mouse cursor to select the desired block of cells.
To select a table row, place the mouse cursor to the left of the row:
And click the left mouse button:
If you do not release the left mouse button after the click, you can drag the mouse cursor up or down to select multiple rows:
Alternatively, place the mouse cursor in a cell left margin and double-click:
To select a table column, hover the mouse pointer over the column top edge until a special mouse cursor starts displaying:
Then click the left mouse button:
If you do not release the mouse button after the click, you can also drag the mouse cursor to the left or right to select multiple columns:
To select a whole table, place the mouse cursor to the left of the table:
Or right above any of its columns:
And double-click:
Alternatively, place the mouse cursor in a cell left margin:
And triple-click.
You can select noncontiguous blocks in a table. For example, to select the first and last row of a table:
select the first row (left-click it from the left, for instance):
Then, place the mouse cursor to the left of the last row (the one you want to add to the current selection):
Press and hold the Ctrl key, then click. Atlantis will automatically add the target row to the current selection:
You can exclude whole rows from a table selection. Let's suppose that you have selected the following table:
To exclude the second row from the selection, place the mouse cursor to the left of that row:
Press and hold the Ctrl key, then click:
You can similarly exclude columns or cells from a table selection. Let's suppose that you have selected the following table:
and you want to exclude the following cell from the selection:
To do so, press and hold the Ctrl key, then click the cell that you want to exclude from the selection:
