Throughout its work session, Atlantis may generate various important messages to the user. These messages, or notifications, do not interrupt the user's work. Once a new notification has been generated by Atlantis, you can keep working on your documents and review the Atlantis notifications when you feel comfortable to do so.
When there are notifications available, a notification bell icon displays on the status bar of Atlantis:
The bell icon is red when there are new unread notifications. Otherwise, it is gray.
After a new notification has been generated, the notification icon in the status bar flashes for a few seconds, and Atlantis may play a notification sound. You can specify a custom sound for the Atlantis notifications by choosing the "Tools | Customize | Sounds..." menu command.
You can view the available notifications by clicking the notification icon in the status bar:
New (unread) notifications are indicated with a red bullet:
You can dismiss individual notifications by clicking the corresponding links:
If there are multiple notifications, you can dismiss them all at once:
"Dismiss for now" means "dismiss for the current Atlantis session only".
Notifications containing a "Do not show again" or similar link can be toggled off permanently:
If you need to re-enable a notification that you have previously toggled off (except for news-related notifications), you can click the "Optional Messages..." button on the "General" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog, and make sure that the corresponding message is checked.
