Save supercompact RTF documents
Extract file name from document
Reload open documents at startup
Offer document properties on saving
Safeguard every XX minutes (against system failure & crashes)
This option allows to create more compact RTF documents. When this option is on, Atlantis saves both text and pictures to RTF documents in a more compact format.
Note that some older word processors might be unable to open such compact documents properly. The newer versions of popular word processors (for example, MS Word 97-2003) support this compact format of RTF documents.
When this option is on, Atlantis suggests the first sentence of your new document as a filename when you save it for the first time.
When this option is off, the original filename is suggested (as a rule, Doc01.rtf or similar).
This option allows you to save your current workspace on shutting down Atlantis, then restore it on the next launch.
When this option is on, all currently open documents are memorized by Atlantis, and will be reopened next time you launch Atlantis.
When this option is on, Atlantis opens the File | Properties... dialog when you save a document for the first time, where you can enter document properties such as title, subject, author, keywords, and comments.
Click this button to customize the Backup Files feature of Atlantis.
When this option is on, Atlantis memorizes the current cursor position every time you save your RTF or COD document. Next time you open this document, Atlantis automatically places the cursor at the memorized position.
When this option is off, the cursor is placed at the beginning of the document when you open it.
Atlantis can automatically create safe copies of all open documents in their current state. In the event of a fatal crash or accidental shutdown of your computer, Atlantis will be able to restore your documents from these safe copies.
When this option is on, Atlantis creates Safe Copies for all open documents with the specified time interval. With the Safeguarding turned on, your work will be safer. We recommend you turn Safeguarding on.
When this option is on, and you call the Open Document or Save Document As... dialogs, Atlantis automatically opens your Document Folder for browsing.
When this option is off, the current directory is opened for browsing.
Note that in the U3-smart version of Atlantis Word Processor the Document Folder's Browse... button is disabled because documents are supposed to be stored on a memory flash drive.
When this option is on, Atlantis will open clicked hyperlinks to supported documents (RTF, DOC, WRI, TXT, etc) and pictures itself, ignoring the current file associations.
When this option is off, clicked hyperlinks to documents of any type will be opened by the application associated with a particular file type. For example, a hyperlink to a BMP file will be opened by MS Paint, or by another application associated with the BMP file extension.
When you paste from a Web browser to Atlantis, the clipboard data might contain not the actual images but their Web addresses (URLs). Check this option if you want Atlantis to download the actual images from the Web when required.
Click the Save to File... button to save all the current Atlantis settings to an INI file. To load the saved settings from such an INI file, click the Load from File... button.
You could also use this INI file to install Atlantis to a memory flash drive.
