Ctrl-Shift-TAB is just Ctrl-TAB in reverse MRU order.
Alt-1 & etc is tantamount to the Alt-&Window approach.
My point remains ...

Ctrl-TAB is a "reflex" movement to change tabs.
I think what I propose/suggest would enhance Atlantis -
especially if one/users could toggle the Ctrl-TAB ...

Ctrl-TAB switches tabs per MRU ordering ...
AFAIK there is no "option" to toggle this functionality.
I know Alt-&Window gives an alternative tab switching method,
but some "apps" also give an option to toggle how Ctrl-TAB functions ... per MRU or not ...
If Atlantis actually does ...

AkelPad has a Search Direction option of "from the Top/Beginning".
I find this to be a quite useful setting, &
maybe such an option would enhance Atlantis ...

It seems I have encountered a new/related problem ...
I'm not sure what the explanation is ...
If I do exAX in MS-WordPad with Arial Narrow,
MS-WP cycles through all the characters for the letter "c"
but Atlantis does not ... Atlantis cycles only one time ...

It seems to me I could make this post here or there ... or as a bug report ...

Alt-ArrowUp & Alt-ArrowDown do not properly open
the ComboBoxes on the Find/Replace popup ...
Only clicking on the little ComboBox upside down triangle does ...

Well, the problem here is as I've described.
It seems to be a UNICODE issue.
If I PasteSpecial-UNIC a € symbol, Atlantis does display it.
If I PasteSpecial-Plain a € symbol, Atlantis does not display it.
When I use exAX to input a € symbol, Atlantis does not display it.

Is there some ...

I have AX ver421 - which is latest version @ the AX website.
I already have AX set to Merge.
Atlantis will not display the/my € symbol from AX.
Atantis will accept/display SOME other (but not many) symbols from AX ...

It seems to me that Atlantis could improve
how it handles non-keyboard character input.
I am using 1.6510.

I use ezAX for all my non-keyboard characters.
Atlantis seems to not accept/display non-keyboard unicode characters from exAX.
I can't even input the € symbol in Atlantis with exAX ...

Atlantis could improve the "Folders:" ComboBox.
In 1659 (& previous versions) the up/down arrow keys don't work "well" and
"Folders:" could use a hotkey/accelerator like "&Folders:".
After I open the ComboBox with Alt-Arrow,
I cannot arrow up/down through the list ...

As far as I can tell,
Atlantis does not have hotkey options
to scroll the active document up/down 1 line at a time ...
ScrollLock (which would not be an equivalent substitute) seems to have no effect.

I find that your reply is inaccurate/distorted.

Holding down ESC will close the Complete popup;
then the Search popup will reappear and then close IF I am stil holding down ESC.

That is NOT the behavior my posts suggests,
and what your post suggests is hardly magic ...

Right now the F/R popup stays open after the "Information"/Search complete popup appears & then closes.
I think it would be nice if users could set the F/R popup to close automatically
after the Search complete popup appears & then closes ...

The Atlantis window when not full-screen & not maximized
will not go/stay "shorter" than a height of 370.
If there is no reason for that, maybe the Atlantis window should be able to have any dimensions ...
which is the norm ...

There are various ways to deal with that issue.
SynWrite does the best (that I have seen) by assigning 1 through 0 for the first 10 and
then assigning A through Z for the next 26 ...
Atlantis could number only the first 10 or
number them all but only give hotkeys to the first 10 or
follow SynWrite's ...

How is the Restore from system tray hotkey supposed to work?
Atlantis hotkeys only work when Atlantis is active / in focus.
When Atlantis is minimized to the system tray, Atlantis can not be active / in focus ...

The main menu Window menu item numbers open files.
How about if the Recent Documents under the main menu File menu item also numbered files in the list?

How about the ability to save/restore sessions?
