AkelPad has a Search Direction option of "from the Top/Beginning".
I find this to be a quite useful setting, &
maybe such an option would enhance Atlantis ...
Search direction: from top/beginning ...
By default, Atlantis searches “Forward”. But you can choose to search “Backward”:

If you want to search from the top of the document, simply press “Ctrl+Home”. This will move the insertion point to the top of the document, where the “Forward” search can begin.
If you don’t want to press “Ctrl+Home”, you can start the “Forward” search from the current insertion point. When Atlantis reaches the end of the document, it will ask you if you want to relaunch searching from the other end of the document. In this way, the whole document will have been covered from top to bottom.
Note that Atlantis will ask you if you want to relaunch searching from the other end of the document only if the corresponding option is active in its “Optional Messages” (Tools | Options… > General tab > Optional Messages button):
