Re: Document Bar: exact position on the bottom

Ah, I see. - I always use the Draft view.
admin wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 3:12 am There are no pages in the document in Atlantis under the Draft view. The first two sections of the status bar work differently depending on the current view mode (Draft or Print Layout).
Because of technical limitations or as a deliberate decision?

Re: Document Bar: exact position on the bottom

You are welcome, rstroud.

Thanks to both of you for your comments about the subject. My opinion concerning the position of the two bars is still a different one, but the matter is not so important to insist with counterarguments etc.

Concerning "Abschnitt" vs. "Seite" ("Section" vs. "Page"):

I ...

Document Bar: exact position on the bottom

A request for a small correction. Surely not of big importance but because of logical reasons it is a bit annoying as it is now. :P

When the Document Bar is positioned on the bottom it is shown above the Status Bar.

That's not logical as the Status Bar refers to the document which is shown in the ...

Yes, either this method. Or write the message directly in the forum but save (copy) it in certain intervals and in any case before clicking "Submit". Then - after being kicked out and performing the second login - paste it again in the message box. - That's the way I do it most of the time. But in ...

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

Sorry, Robert, that my answer is very short but as it happens permanently in this forum, you are kicked out of it when it takes a longer time to write your post. Then you have to log in again but all your text is gone. - I do not like do write all from scratch again. Therefore my brief comment ...

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

Why not use Microsoft Edge to read your PDFs?
As it happened, just a few days ago I uninstalled Microsoft Edge from my computer. Simply because I never used it. (My main browser is Firefox.) To maintain a whole browser only because of a PDF Reader would be no option for me ...

So if you have PDF-XChange, why are you using Sumatra?

Because of one reason: Sumatra is extremly quick and comfortable when searching within a file. I have some quite big documents and ...

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Page breaks

Here are two examples how the environment of a page break shoud look like after cropping, when in the original file there is blank space at this point (PDF-file produced with go4convert.com, cropped with PDF-XChange Editor - see attachment):

PDF files produced with Atlantis: Page breaks

When creating a PDF-file from a doc-file there is always a lot of white space at the page breaks. (Not only when the PDF is created by Atlantis but in general):

In order to remove this white space I use a practical feature in the "PDF-XChange Editor" ( "Crop Pages ...

Indeed. Hyperlinks work perfectly with this pre-release.

Many thanks for this information. :D

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

This is a SumatraPDF-specific issue.

Maybe. But at any rate SumatraPDF is not the only PDF-reader with this problem. I just tested it with two others:

- With "Foxit PDF Reader" indeed the hyperlinks work fine.
- With "PDF24 Reader" (part of "PDF24 Creator") (https://tools.pdf24.org/en/creator ...

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

It is too complicated for me to report such specific issues to Sumatra. Perhaps some users of Atlantis version 5 and SumatraPDF will do it some day.

But fact is that it is a peculiarity not only connected with SumatraPDF but also with the way in which Atlantis creates its PDF files. In the ...

Thanks for investigating the matter and for the explanations although these are no good news. It means that for me the new feature is to a large extent useless because my preferred pdf-viewer is Sumatra. :(

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

In the attachment you can find a MS Word document (.doc) and the PDF I created from it with Atlantis.

Re: Go to location of last edit when opening a document

Yes, it is similar and is not bad at all. But it has two drawbacks (compared with my practice in MS Word):

- You cannot decide per individual document but only in general if you want to go to the last cursor position or not.

- And the last cursor position is not necessarily the position where you ...
