Problems with ePubs generated starting 4.4.5.6
Starting with Atlantis version 4.4.5.6, and the version after, the ePub generated has noticeable differences. I finished reading an ePub on my Kobo reader of a book I had scanned into my computer using Atlantis and generated and loaded a new one incorporating all changes made in the Rich Text file ...

Hi admin,
To be specific, what triggered this was a list of Cast of Characters.

Re: Do not hyphenate paragraphs in ePubs
Hi admin,
The use of Do not hyphenate is a style that some (not many) book publishers use in specific circumstances (never in regular body text) to indicate the text is special/different from the rest. It may indicate a handwritten note is being read or it is a list. Given it is rare there is no ...

Re: Do not hyphenate paragraphs in ePubs

I use it occasionally for paragraph styles to emulate paragraphs, mainly on Title pages, that I have been scanning into my computer to read on my Kobo eReader (ePubs). Kobo does support hyphenation when the paragraphs are justified, as all my first line indent paragraphs are by default ...

Do not hyphenate paragraphs in ePubs
Do paragraph styes with Do not hyphenate carry over into ePubs? This does not seem to be the case in 4.4.5.4.

Re: Hyphenation dictionary for none language
Hi admin,
Thank you for the suggestions.
I do not use optional hyphens as these books are going to be converted to ePubs (thanks for that built-in function) to be read on my Kobo ePub reader which handles them poorly, i.e., leaving gaps or dashes in their place when the words are displayed.

Hi admin,
I updated to 4.4.5.2 this morning, set the language to Africans (South Africa), added WeEoOhHhH to the Hyphenation dictionary, and ran Spellcheck multiple times. Each time I received a Warning: No spellchecker is installed for language Afrikaans (South Africa). I have 2 options: either ...

Hyphenation dictionary for none language
In some of the science fiction stories I am entering into my computer the author uses unusual capitalization patterns for his made-up words. These words are also used with the normal capitalizations that Atlantis already handles. To be able to have the spellchecker find any misspelled made-up words ...

Hyphenation module warning
I am receiving 2 warnings at least once every time shortly after I start Atlantis for Welsh (United Kingdom) and Vietnamese (Vietnam) saying for these 2:

Windows 10 Defender has detected a virus/trojan
With Defender downloading the latest update today it deleted awp.exe (version 4.4.2.1). I whitelisted the Atlantis folder per Microsoft instructions and Defender still deleted Atlantis. I left a comment on Microsoft's web site that their instructions did not work for Atlantis Word Processor. I have ...

Re: What are the rules for the Basic.asn Caps & Num Lock warning?
Hi admin,
This happens on my Windows 10 computer after not having pushed either the Caps Lock key or the Num Lock key. It might happen after using the Caps Lock key and I have not noticed it as I rarely do All Caps typing unless it is an acronym that is more than 3 letters. This happens to me from ...

What are the rules for the Basic.asn Caps & Num Lock warning?
Hi,
I have been getting an apparently random single car horn honk recently and today traced it to the Basic.asn sound scheme. i would like to know when that warning is given so I can understand what is going on. In the meantime I have disabled the warning.

Re: Is there a Regex way to find paragraph widows?
Hi admin,
I do not concern myself with how the ePubs are paginated. My question only concerned the RTF document. Your answer tells me that the RTF paragraphs are seen as continuous strings of text with only the beginning and end known. Thanks.

Is there a Regex way to find paragraph widows?
I have been updating the formatting of RTF books in preparation to go on a week vacation and loading the ePubs generated on my Kobo Clara 2E reader. Most of the time spent is on reducing the number of paragraph widows (by a visual scan of the whole story/book) as I prefer this aesthetically. Is ...
