Annoying new feaures in Control board header panel
I use the header panel in the control board to navigate my 500+ page book, and noticed that with version 5.x there is a lot of new behaviors that are less than productive. It's making me want to revert back to the free version because this was the feature that attracted me to the software in the ...

Is Atlantis format palette feature compatible with Word character styles?
The Format palette is the only way Atlantis can do character level styling, and I just read that Epubs prefer all inline text formatting to be done with styles. Do you know if it uses the same rtf specification as MS Word?

Re: Track changes
This is what I do: save every day's document under <filename>A1, <filename>A2, <filename>A3, up to A20, then B1 - B20, etc.
If there's an issue that comes up about changes, then use the View side-by-side feature with 2 latest versions to resolve.
It's better than nothing.

Re: Weird bug with MS Word when I open new file based on template
Yea, that wasn't clear at all. I did reproduce the error in Noetpad, so I see what you're talking about now. Otherwise I'd want my money back!... (just kidding. Atlantis is still my favorite WP app. :-)).

Re: Weird bug with MS Word when I open new file based on template
The MS Word issue came back after a few more tries. So I selected the classic Load/Save dialogs in tools|options and even with preview enabled, I didn't have the MS Word issue. I'm sticking with the classic dialogs for now.

Re: Weird bug with MS Word when I open new file based on template
Yes, I am using the new style Open/Save dialogs of Atlantis and DID have the preview (details) pane selected to view. When I de-selected that pane the problem went away. The first 'problem encountered" dialog was because it couldn't save a file, if that helps in your debugging..

Weird bug with MS Word when I open new file based on template

New read-omly feasture in Document projects
I noticed that when I right click on one of the document headings in the toolbar document project object, the new feature "read-only" is available. This is a feature I requested so I was excited to try it out, only to find that the file can still be edited. My request was the document to be read ...

Re: intermittent, undeletable 0.5" tab in footnotes
Your documents do not use any template. They were created from a certain template. If you delete all your document templates, this would have absolutely no effect on any of your existing documents. I can only reiterate that the document templates in Atlantis do not work in the way you think. You are ...

Feature request: allow document projects to be listed in "Favorites" and "recent documents"
I use document projects, thus have multiple documents loaded. Why does "favorites" and "recent documents" only list individual documents and ignore document projects? I always have to find my project on disk to load it, when it should be available in either of those nodes of the file dropdown (or in ...

Re: intermittent, undeletable 0.5" tab in footnotes
There is no link between individual documents in Atlantis. Your conceptions of document templates in Atlantis are not correct.

Re: Add dialog to save template if styles or other template meta-data or modified
Possibly you still do not fully understand how document templates work in Atlantis. Document templates in Atlantis do not work in the way they do in MS Word.

I did not give you the correct path for the feature. Sorry.

intermittent, undeletable 0.5" tab in footnotes
I noticed that my latest document (a chapter of my book) suddenly has a 0.5" tab in all inserted footnotes after inserting more than a dozen with no tab. Previous docs did NOT have the 0.5" tab, and it looks bad in the same page as footnotes without the tab. I have gotten rid of the 0.5" tab in the ...

To do this, use FILE > STYLES and select IMPORT. Choose the file that you have previously worked on.

make a document read-only within the user interface
Along with the Documents project feature (a most excellent feature I might add, much better than anything like it offered by competitors that I have tried), I would like to suggest the ability to make a document read-only within the document interface. The rich-edit control has this feature innately ...

Re: A wey to know what template was used to create a document?
I understand that. That's why I am requesting a NEW FEATURE of storing the name of what template was used to create the document with the document. This would also help with my other NEW FEATURE request of being prompted to save style changes with the template where they are stored.

Re: Add dialog to save template if styles or other template meta-data or modified
No, I don't think you were following what I was saying. It did prompt me to save changes to the document which I did save. It did NOT prompt to save changes to the TEMPLATE, which is where those styles are stored, thus I lost all changes to the styles. They only way to save those changes is to open ...
