Problem with RTF extension
Problem with RTF extension
When saving a document, it doesn't always save with the .rtf extension. If I open an existing document and save it using Save As but give it a new name, the .rtf extension disappears. Then I have to manually add the file extension. I'm using version 5.0.2 of the program on Windows 10. I can't say anything about Linux.
Re: Problem with RTF extension
I can't reproduce this. On my system everything works as intended. The "Save as" dialog is supposed to automatically change the file extension when you choose a different document type from the "Save as type” box at the bottom of the dialog.
Can you give some examples of when it works as expected and when it doesn't? What was the original name of the document file (including the file extension)? What name did you specify in the "Save as" dialog? What name was reported in Atlantis and by the file manager for the new document file?

Re: Problem with RTF extension
I think I figured out the reason - names containing a dot.

Re: Problem with RTF extension
Thanks for the details. Periods in file names should be used with caution.
When you close the "Save as" dialog, Windows 11 automatically adds the file name extension corresponding to the selected document type. Windows 10 seems to work differently: if the file name already contains what looks like a file name extension, the document type file extension doesn't get appended to the file name.
