I am quite new to Atlantis which I installed just a week back.
I am frequently republishing several old Tamil books for which I was using MS Word. On a friend's advice, I installed Atlantis word processor and found it very satisfactory when I created some documents with text in English. But when I tried to create a document with Unicode Tamil fonts like Ariel Unicode MS or Latha I get only ??? marks. Similarly when I selected Sanskrit 2003, another unicode font I get only ??? marks. When I tried with some other non-unicode fonts, I am able to get fairly satisfactory out put. Why unicode which is becoming universal now a days is not supported in Atlantis? I went through the forums before writing to you . Somewhere in 2004 there was a discussion in which you have answered Unicode support was in early stages. Now that nearly ten years have rolled down and unicode is accepted every where, Atlantis also should support it.
Or am I not understanding the editor properly?

When I copy and paste unicode text from else where It is displayed properly. But when I try to type directly, I get only question marks.
And if I want to continue after pasting the unicode text again, I am getting the question marks only
Please see the attachments.
Attachment 1:( Scribus 1.jpg) A unicode text (Font Latha )-- copied and pasted displays the text correctly.
Attachment 2:(Scribus 2.jpg) I ried to type with another unicode font but gets only question marks.

Normally I use NHM Writer(www.nhm.in/software) software to input Indic languages with English key board. I also use Azhagi (for non-Unicode fonts) and Azhagi + (for Unicode fonts).(www.azhagi.com) I occasionally use BhashaIME (sites.google.com/site/bhashaime) for Unicode input. All the three failed in Atlantis.
