I'm now unable to save links as 'favourites'. I click 'add favourite' when the document I wish to save is on the screen: nix! I click the 'add to favourites' option in 'manage favourites': nix!
I'd be grateful for any and all advice.

Favourites not stored.
Nope. All on default settings: I haven't changed sneck all! Nothing that I've tried has successfully added a sausage to the Favourites Folder.
Then again, the 'notify me when a reply is posted' radio button is ticked; however, I didn't get notified, and only found out that I'd indeed had replies by checking manually.
Not too much luck with Atlantis, recently: one hopes that it doesn't end up sinking without trace...

Hi,
Could you please try this:
1. Open Windows Explorer, and go to your Atlantis “Favorites” folder (by default “C:\Program Files\(x86)\Atlantis\Favorites”).
2. Right-click the “Favorites” folder name in Windows Explorer.
3. Click the “Security” tab at the top.
4. On the “Security” tab, press the “Advanced” button.
5. In the “Advanced Security Settings” dialog, highlight your user account name and press the “Edit” button.
6. Are the “Full Control” and “Take Ownership” boxes checked? If not, check the “Full Control” box. All the other boxes will automatically be checked.
7. OK out of all open dialogs.
8. In Atlantis, try saving a document as a “Favorite”. Does it work any better (note that you might need to reboot or relog on for this to work)?
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

Bob's your uncle!
Cheers, Robert, my man: all sorted now.
once I figured out that one must first click 'properties' to find the 'security' tab, well, plainly did I sail.
Thanks again for your most excellent advice.
Yours gratefully,
Paul Gammage.
Here's a hyper-stupid-anti-geek hint for thickets as myself that couldn't find the 'security' tab:
2. Right-click the “Favorites” folder name in Windows Explorer.
[then left click 'properties' at the bottom]
3. Click the “Security” tab at the top. etc
