I am downloading ebooks from Manybooks.net normally as rtf-files. I know that Manybooks have changed lately in converting to different file formats -- now the rtf-files sometimes have some pictures in the file, and Atlantis seems to have some trouble in showing these pictures and also if you edit in the text and save it in Atlantis, the file will be larger than the ordinary compressed file Atlantis normally will save. Also it looks like Atlantis is working slower than normal when saving a file like this.
If a file edited and saved by Atlantis is opened in ... say OpenOffice Writer later, Writer also will work slower than normal both in opening and saving the file.
(Is looks like the picture will be hidden in some way in the rtf-file if saved by Atlantis).
If the rtf-file downloaded from Manybooks is opened directly in OpenOffice Writer, the picture will be showed normally. I did also try to open the same file in TextMaker 2010 (from the German SoftMaker Office Suite), but in this case TextMaker shows the picture scaled down to 100 by 4 procent.
As it is now I have to open the file in say TextMaker 2010 to be able to remove the picture, save the file and then open it in Atlantis, to have Atlantis behave like it should.
(This is on a ASUS 1000H with Windows XP).
Try downloading "The Woman with a Stone Heart" by Oscar William Coursey as a rtf-file, and open it in Atlantis. There is a picture in the third paragraph, that doesn't show up:

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?

Strange behaviour in Atlantis
The document file "courseyo2470524705-hrtf.rtf" can hardly be called a valid document in the RTF format. I do not know which tool was used to create this document, but it does not comply with the RTF specification.
The document file contains a JPEG picture. But the "picwgoal" and "pichgoal" RTF tags are missing. The "picw" and "pich" tags are used in a wrong way. Picture scaling value is also missing. There are other oddities as well.
Any next release of Atlantis Word Processor will recover missing picture width and height from the picture raw data. Although this does not change the fact that the file is not a valid RTF document.
Thanks for the link.
