Include power typing cache file in backup routine
An Atlantis crash was traced to the "English (American).cache" file in the spellcheck folder having become corrupted and unusable. This file contains all the power typing words that appear in a dropdown as you type, saving you from oodles of typing. I am now starting over building up that list of words again,. It would have been nice if I could have pulled out a recent copy from backup, but alas, backup ignores this file. Therefore, I am requesting that backup include this file in it's backup routine. I noticed that Atlantis.ini is backed up, so this should be a no brainer. Thank you.
Re: Include power typing cache file in backup routine
Atlantis currently may create backups only of the Atlantis.ini file, which is the essential part of the Atlantis configuration. I understand that there has been some incident in your system related to the "English (American).cache". But I don’t think this is a sufficient reason for Atlantis to start creating backups for this particular file. It would be much better to find out what happened to your original .cache file.
Atlantis doesn’t automatically create complete “restore points”. But there is a workaround. You can use the “Tools | Install As Portable…” menu command to create a portable clone of your Atlantis copy in a separate folder. To restore your standard copy of Atlantis from such a portable clone, you can run the latter and use its “Install as Non-Portable…” menu command.

Re: Include power typing cache file in backup routine
It probably got damaged from a system crash, which I have had periodically, always related to the moving of pictures within a document prior to the "Power word" related crashes. It's probably sensitive to corruption because it's always loaded in memory and frequently writing to cache That cache file was over a half a megabyte in size, so I wouldn't be asking for the same level of protection that a main document gets, just a once-in-a-while backup like you do with Atlantis.ini.
Re: Include power typing cache file in backup routine
Atlantis generates the .cache files on close. This makes system crashes a less likely cause of such a problem.
You do not necessarily need to let the Power Type collect all your typed words. If you are a fast typist, you can manually add long collocations/phrases that you regularly use to the Power Type of Atlantis and uncheck the “Collect words” option in the “Power Type” dialog. Then close Atlantis and backup the .cache file to a folder of your choice.
