Atlantis Freezes

Every time I use Atlantis the program freezes up and becomes unresponsive for maybe 4-5 seconds and then functions normally. Any idea what causes this? Windows 10.

Does this happen under the factory settings of Atlantis? Please choose the "Tools | factory Settings..." menu command of Atlantis, then click "Launch a test copy of Atlantis with factory settings". Same delay?

This is happening for me since the last update to4.4.6.2

Also when clicking on a dialogue box OK the box is unresponsive, and click away, nothing works. However the enter key does close the dialogue box.

Also sometimes, well mostly, the close cross in the top right of the Atlantis window does not respond.

No settings changes or anything to cause this from the previous version to the 4.4.6.2

The upgrade window asks for the Atlantis program to close to proceed, and after with the new version, freezing.

Please advise.

I note the revert to factory settings, but if I do this how will I get back to my personal settings?

Further to this freezing...

I looked at starting a test copy of Atlantis, and the same problem is dialogue boxes was evident, tools > Factory settings... > and I am faced with a dialogue box that will not respond to mouse clicks, and although the Launch a test copy of Atlantis... is highlighted, the mouse fails to send the command, clicking does not work in the dialogue box.

However, pressing enter does work, on the Launch a test copy of Atlantis... and on the close when highlighted with the mouse click, the click does not close the dialogue box.

(The mouse works on every other program, and on the windows 10 desktop)

Version 4.4.6.2 is a minor update with no changes to the dialogs or the mouse-related code. Atlantis does not process clicks on the title bar of modal dialogs. I can't notice anything unusual in the latest version under Windows 10.

If you wish, you can downgrade your copy of Atlantis - just run the setup files of versions 4.4.5.6, 4.4.6.0, or 4.4.6.1 from this archive:

However, it does not seem that anyone else is having this issue with version 4.4.6.2. I can't suggest a solution for your situation. But the first thing I would check is whether another application (including a security-related software) is not messing up with Atlantis.

I loaded a previously saved personal ini file (from a backup I made in February) and this seems to have cured the mouse problems.

No idea why this should work, my Atlantis settings are not knowingly altered unless there is a major change in the updates that results in my making a change away from the default.

I don't think this can be because of the Atlantis configuration file. When you launch a test copy of Atlantis with the "factory settings", no INI file is used.
