If Tomahawk is not to your liking, then there is also Abiword, but personal I don't like it:

Beside being a user of Atlantis I use SoftMaker Office - both paid versions, but you can have SoftMaker Office for free. The features in SoftMaker Office 2006 should cover the ...

I don't know which method you use to convert your PDF files to word, but may I suggest that you have a look at "Calibre", whish is a program to organise e-books, but it also can convert between different formats. I use it to convert PDF and epub files to RTF. This way the files can be edited ...

Robert,

... you are absolutely right! The method Admin mentioned is the way to go. I must have done something wrong the first time I tried it, but you are right. The method sort of resets everything to the default I guess.

As I said, Atlantis is a kind of Swiss Army Knife.

Thank you so much for ...

Hi, et all,

Admin:

Yes, you are right. If the tabs settings are *different* your solution will work, however, if the tabs settings are the same -- say left oriented -- it will not... I tried.

Robert:

Your solution is probably the best and this it what I will try to use. I seems to work OK in the ...

Hi Robert,

I enclose a small testfile for you. It's only a heading and 4 paragraphs. Paragraphs 2 and 4 have tab settings but they are not used. What I want is to remove the tab setting in the paragraphs throughout the whole document, but I don't want any other formatting to be changed. And think ...

Hi Robert,

I just tried what you suggested, but it doesn't work. Think in having a document were the writer of the document have placed tabs in some of the paragraphs, but they are not in use -- they are obsolete and just using space in the saved file.

I tried to take a small file and placed some ...

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your reply. This is just what I needed. I use the find and replace function a lot, so it is kind of funny that I haven't noticed this. I was looking in help but it is not mentioned here.

I use Atlantis every day and it is every penny worth.

Again, a sincere thank you ...

Clear all tabs

Sometimes I get a text that have tabs in some of the paragraphs (where they actually are not needed). I want to be able to remove all tabs in the whole document but have to manually find the paragraphs that have tabs in them.

I would like a funktion to mark the whole document and then to clear all ...

Strange behaviour in Atlantis

I am downloading ebooks from Manybooks.net normally as rtf-files. I know that Manybooks have changed lately in converting to different file formats -- now the rtf-files sometimes have some pictures in the file, and Atlantis seems to have some trouble in showing these pictures and also if you edit in ...

Hi gtatler,

If I understand you correctly, the file you originate from is a clean text file, and you want to join lines into paragraphs untill a single empty paragraph marker is met.

You may have solved your problem by now, but else I think I may have a solution for you.

I have been working quite ...
