Paying for Version 2

Post by harolnick »

I've been a happy paid-up Atlantis user for many years, so without thinking, download the newest version, was asked to put in Registration number and that wasn't accepted. Doing some research, I found that I am supposed to pay more for this version (which I don't need), though this wasn't mentioned with the download.

Plus, the old versions have been apparently taken off the Atlantis site.

Is there any way I can retrieve the good old (and paid-for) Atlansis Version 1.xxxx?

I'll look through my backup material and hope...ln the meantime thanks.

Please, keep in mind that version 2 of Atlantis is a much improved version: it is a lot more nimble than version 1 and includes comprehensive support for tables. Support for tables will be improved in the next few months. These updates to version 2 will be free for registered users of version 2.

Also note that registered users of version 1 of Atlantis can buy a license for version 2 at a much reduced price of $15. Simply go to http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/en/register.htm and click the “Upgrade” button. After entering the email address you used to register version 1, you’ll be able to buy a license for version 2 of Atlantis Word Processor for a mere $15.

We hope you can reconsider your decision to revert to version 1. But if you still want to reinstall a discontinued version of Atlantis, you can download the last available setup file from http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/do ... 6_5_en.exe

After downloading this setup file, execute “atlantis_1_6_6_5_en.exe” on your system, and follow onscreen instructions. Install this older version in the same folder as version 2. The old version will override the new.

Many thanks for such a quick reply. And for giving me the option to re-download my original copy. I'll decide things later today. Have a good summer.
