How clean (delete) all Tab settings?

Post by Ambaquista »

I want to reformat an entire long text with lots of Tab settings in various places of the text.
I want to delete ALL, to replace with my own Tab settings.
Deleting one by one is very time consuming!
I tried the find & replace but didn´t find any way.
Any help?

Deleting all tab characters is easy with Find/Replace if you replace each tab character with a space character:
Find: ^t
Replace: ^32
Inserting new tab stops can be done with a dedicated style having appropriate tab properties.

^32 is just the HTML code for a standard space character. In the Find or Replace boxes, ^32 is more visible than a space character typed from the keyboard. Space characters typed from the keyboard can easily be overlooked.
