Updated, now can't make epubs

Post by Davewaine »

Atlantis offered me their latest update, which enables it to run on Linux via Wine apparently, and I installed it. I don't really need it because I use Windows, but I reasoned that I should always use the latest edition of the software.

Now I cannot make epubs. Instead, I receive a notification: 'Access violation at 0040364C in awp.exe'.

Can someone tell me what is going on and what I can do about it, please?

Thank you. That got it working again and the epub validated.

I have 3 out of 10 books that fail to convert to ePub that had converted before. I get the error message
Exception:
Access violation at 005E6180 in awp.exe
I am converting again because I have been proof reading the ePubs on my Kobo eReader and updating all when I find a general form error I have made. I downloaded the setup file but it has not made a difference for me in the conversion.

Could you please zip & email one of those 3 document files to support@atlantiswordprocessor.com ?

Please also choose the "Tools | Options..." menu command of Atlantis, and click the "Save to File..." button to save your current Atlantis settings to an INI file. Please email your INI file as well.

Hi admin,
I will be sending those files in. In desperation yesterday night I uninstalled Atlantis and installed version 13.6. I then loaded the .ini file and was able to convert the 3 RTFs that gave an Error message with no problem. The only difference I am aware of is that I had updated the OS to 1903 at the end of last month.

OK. But as I understand, the errors are not reproducible on your system anymore.

Hi admin,
You are correct, my computer no longer sometimes fails to covert Rich Text to ePub.

Hi admin,
The problem happened again last night. the error message was:
Exception:
Access violation at 005E61FC in awp.exe

I will send the Rich Text file that this happened with and the saved .ini file from right after.

Thanks for the files.

The error can be reproduced (more or less reliably) in any eBook-aware version of Atlantis under any settings. The error is displayed if the document is terminated with a "hidden" (struck out) heading - as in case with your document.

This will be fixed in any next release of Atlantis. Please click the following link to download the setup file of Atlantis with the fix applied:
http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/do ... 190713.exe
