Problem with double click selection of text

Post by jdarcy »

I am still trying before buying and would love to have this problem corrected. I double click to select a word or words and then try to pick the selection up with a single click and it does not function as it is meant to. Usually the whole paragraph then gets selected or another outcome other than what i want to do. The only solution so far is to delay the single click by a second or more - not what i want to do when typing a long manuscript. Is it a bug or am i doing the impossible.

Windows allows to adjust the so called “double-click time”. The double-click time is the maximum number of milliseconds that may occur between the first and second click of a double-click. When you give three mouse clicks, and the interval between those clicks is less than the “double-click time”, Atlantis assumes it is a triple click. A triple click on a word selects the entire paragraph.

You may wish to decrease the “double-click time” in your Windows.

Many thanks for the reply and suggestion. Actually i had already adjusted the double click speed to the slowest possible without solving the problem. I apologize for not mentioning it.

I suppose you may need to do the reverse thing - decrease the interval.
