Spellcheck checking every word

Post by harolnick »

For some reason, Spellcheck is now checking every single word I write. Whether it underlines "misspelled" words or not, it makes everything from Dog to Doggf to Doog to puppy an unknown word. Any suggestions? Thanks

What if you press F7? Does Atlantis display the dialog with the following caption:

Spellcheck - English (United States)

If so, something is wrong with the English spellchecker on your system. Please choose the "Tools | Options..." menu command of Atlantis, click the "Spellcheck" tab, then the "Spellcheckers & Dictionaries..." button. Click the "English (United States)" spellchecker. Does the "Main dictionaries" box contain the following two items:

english.zlx
us.zlx

You can download & run the setup file of the English spellchecker:
https://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/d ... eck_en.exe
It would reinstall the main dictionaries if they are missing.

Hey! I think the re-installing did it!! Seems to be working the way I like it too. Finishing a story now with lots of foreign words, so let's hope for the beest....er, the best. Many thanks.
