Re: Tab behavior under 4.3 changed
It would be good to have special symbols displaying on your screen capture, as well as the tab stop positions on the ruler that correspond to the “artful dodger” paragraph. Basing a paragraph line’s layout on supernarrow tab characters is not very reliable. But if your above screen capture displays ...

Re: Is there a way to tag lines?
When the index entries are alphabetically sorted in the Index panel, entries with identical text appear grouped together. Such a group can be treated as one tag. In the same time, you can still easily manage tags of individual locations. But I suggested using the Index panel not because it is meant ...

Re: Is there a way to tag lines?
I never said you could make an index entry point to multiple locations in your document. You create separate index entries for each location, but use same entry text. Let' suppose that you have three locations in your document that you want to mark as "ABC". Click each of those locations, ...

Re: Tab behavior under 4.3 changed
On my systems, your document displays in this way:
Note that the tab stop positions are not the same for the whole document. You can use the Reveal formatting panel of the Control Board to examine the tab formatting.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
Version 4.3.2 is not about pasting but about different methods to render document text. Where do you paste text from? What typeface is associated with the pasted text (what font name is reported by the toolbars when you click the black bar)? Could you post a screen capture with that black bar? What ...

Re: Is there a way to tag lines?
You can mark as many locations with same "tag" (index entry text) in your document as you wish. As I said, you could use the Index panel of the Control Board to manage the "tags". It can sort the index entries alphabetically. You can also click the list of index entries, and star...

Re: Is there a way to tag lines?
If you do not have an index in your document, you could tag locations in your document using index entries. Just click a location that you want to tag, press Shift+Alt+X, type the tag name, and press Enter. You could then use the Index panel of the Control Board to sort the tags alphabetically, and ...

Re: Whole document Page Settings sometimes does not happen
Thanks for the log file. “Destination: 3” from the following line from your log: 7/3/23 2:09:45 am/pm - Destination: 3 means “apply to this section”. In your case, the first item – “This section” – of the “Apply to” box was selected when you clicked OK. I understand that you meant to click the “Whol...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
Thanks. It is DirectWrite with grayscale antialiasing. Since it works on your Windows 7 system, you have the Platform Update for Windows 7 installed.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
Atlantis currently does not offer support for typographic features of OpenType fonts. Now Atlantis suppresses ligatures when rendering through DirectWrite. Thank you.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
If inconsistent spacing between characters (too big gaps or coalescing letters) is not a problem for you, GDI is a good choice indeed. GDI is also the only option on old systems running Windows 2000 and XP. Atlantis still supports these old versions of Windows. In the a7 build, the DirectWrite displ...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
This version of Atlantis does not allow to change its text rendering settings through its GUI. At least not yet. But you can tweak the corresponding item from the INI file of Atlantis. If you run the latest build of this beta (a5 or higher), and close it, it would create the “TxtRender” item in the ...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
Version 4.3.2 uses the DirectWrite mechanism (when available) to render document text onscreen. Previous versions of Atlantis use the GDI mechanism. Both techniques support text antialiasing. GDI uses the ClearType antialiasing. DirectWrite supports two antialising methods: ClearType and grayscale. ...

Re: Whole document Page Settings sometimes does not happen
I understand this might be frustrating. But I have checked everything multiple times. And I really cannot suggest an explanation.
If you like, I could send you a special build of Atlantis that would monitor the events related to the "page settings" dialog.
