Re: Pasteboard

Well I've tried using Ditto for a while, and it is very good at what it does, it's still not delivering what I'm after in practice which remains as shown above. Having a single panel like an rtf. document instead of snippets would fit the bill, at least for me! Not a criticism of Ditto because it is...

Re: Pasteboard

Hi Robert, Thanks for the answer. I've tried various clipboard managers before, but they don't really deliver what I'm after because I'd like to leave some text in place and add more text, and cut it, at will. In other words some text will be from clipboard, some won't because it'll be left in situ ...

Pasteboard

I'd love it if Atlantis had a new feature developed: a window, like a control board window, on which text with formatting could be copy and pasted from files while remaining open no matter what file is displayed. This would save time when wanting to have before your eyes text in an accessible window...

Well I did the factory reset, and so far since then have had no problems at all, so thanks for pointing it out, admin (apologies for not using 'test factory settings' first, I read your message after having already reset, but reconfiguring everything as I want didn't take long). Thanks rstroud as we...

Thanks for the quick response. It occurs using different sets of documents, but after several hours of use. It appears to occur randomly, but I do copy and paste a lot, probably far more than most users. I haven't tried factory reset yet, but shall now do so and report back in a few days. Other than...

Well, not out the woods yet; using just rtf. files alone hasn't worked... just had another crash, but this time with an 'access violation' message, code 00401A00 Might be grasping out straws, but the files in use are saved on this pc and synchronise with Drop Box, could that be a factor? The biggest...

I've changed all file formats to rtf., with super compact rtf setting enabled. So far no problems... and rtf. is fine for my purposes. I get lots of files from other people in a variety of formats, which may have been a factor (although, as stated before, I've been doing that and using Atlantic for ...

Just opened software as usual, and it shows CPU on between 3%-7%, and memory at 44%. Atlantis is using 0.1% CPU and between 139.8 - 185.3 MB RAM. If I close all other software (by which I mean obvious software such as CorelDraw, etc), memory usage is about 33%.

Thanks for the response, Robert. This PC is a year old, and has 16 GB RAM (DD4). It might be an issue because I sometimes have CorelDraw 2021 open at the same time, which can eat RAM for breakfast, so combined with a large number of big documents open in Atlantis that would make sense! However, this...

I'm having a similar issue following the last couple of updates, although not sure there's a connection. I usually have open several files at once, some of which can be circa. 900 pages long. I'm starting to get 'out of memory' come up most days. I thought it might be connected with the back-up disk...

Thanks for replying. I'm already aware of that ability, but what I'm after is being able to visually see on screen both the find/replace list on the control board AND headings on another control board at the same time, hence my suggestion for having visible two control boards rather than one. At the...

Control Board

There are many scenarios when working, for me at least, when being able to have two iterations of the control board rather than just one showing would help workflow. For example, so one control board can show the Header, while a separate control board displays Find/Replace in another control board s...

Thank you so much Robert for pointing out the use of F3 like this, it makes navigation even better (I hadn't realised it did this in Atlantis). It really does help my work flow, your help was much appreciated!

That feature is useful, but because of the way I work I often have to find an item, and then delete it before finding the next (it's a peculiar work flow issue), so the feature can't then take to me the next instance because I've deleted the previous one (hope that makes sense!). This scenario is ad...

Find sidebar

Hi, as a heavy user of Atlantis a new feature I'd appreciate would be a 'find' box on the toolbar which could be kept open without partly hiding some of the open window, as the find/replace dialogue tends to do. An even better position, at least for the way I work, would be to have a 'find' box on t...

I've been using the new GUI and find it a good improvement (albeit it seems I'm in a minority here). However, could not having an option to display a smaller icon set solve some of the issues raised? This would shrink the height of the bar, if it were scaled along with the icons, making it more appr...

Kaspersky Security and Atlantis

Yesterday Kaspersky software intervened and uninstalled Atlantis having claimed it was showing the behaviour of a trojan. I managed to reinstall easily enough, and have placed Atlantis on Kaspersky's exception list to hopefully stop it happening again. Does anyone know why Kaspersky would have given...

New GUI

Personally I really, really, really like it, and think in my case it will help workflow a great deal. Besides, it looks cool(!) - but I work on a dual monitor display set up to which it will be well suited. Perhaps to help on smaller monitors there could be an option to hide or display the icons wit...

Many thanks for Atlantis 2, I work with numerous files at a time and with tables now a feature this is my preferred word processor (seriously, I've used just about everything available, including the latest rendition of Word in Office 365, and Atlantis is superb, so thank you very much). I was wonde...
