Second instance with own settings

I'd love it if it were possible to open a second instance of Altantis with different settings remembered compared to a first opened instance. The scenario is like this: Altantis opens, and loads multiple files with remembered settings. Then a second instance is opened in a separate window with its o...

Re: Latest update

The culprit, for me at least, is the Auto-correct option 'Replace "quotes" with " ". Deselecting gets rid of the issue, but of course also gets rid of the nice curly quotation marks in favour of boring straight ones!

Re: Pasteboard

My original idea was not for a clipboard feature, but a normal file which could be displayed as a side panel, in a wrap-around window so text doesn't run out of view, with this side panel window being viewable all the time while having open numerous files in the main window. It would perform like a ...

Re: Pasteboard

Well I've tried using Ditto for a while, and it is very good at what it does, it's still not delivering what I'm after in practice which remains as shown above. Having a single panel like an rtf. document instead of snippets would fit the bill, at least for me! Not a criticism of Ditto because it is...

Re: Pasteboard

Hi Robert, Thanks for the answer. I've tried various clipboard managers before, but they don't really deliver what I'm after because I'd like to leave some text in place and add more text, and cut it, at will. In other words some text will be from clipboard, some won't because it'll be left in situ ...

Pasteboard

I'd love it if Atlantis had a new feature developed: a window, like a control board window, on which text with formatting could be copy and pasted from files while remaining open no matter what file is displayed. This would save time when wanting to have before your eyes text in an accessible window...

Well I did the factory reset, and so far since then have had no problems at all, so thanks for pointing it out, admin (apologies for not using 'test factory settings' first, I read your message after having already reset, but reconfiguring everything as I want didn't take long). Thanks rstroud as we...

Thanks for the quick response. It occurs using different sets of documents, but after several hours of use. It appears to occur randomly, but I do copy and paste a lot, probably far more than most users. I haven't tried factory reset yet, but shall now do so and report back in a few days. Other than...

Well, not out the woods yet; using just rtf. files alone hasn't worked... just had another crash, but this time with an 'access violation' message, code 00401A00 Might be grasping out straws, but the files in use are saved on this pc and synchronise with Drop Box, could that be a factor? The biggest...

I've changed all file formats to rtf., with super compact rtf setting enabled. So far no problems... and rtf. is fine for my purposes. I get lots of files from other people in a variety of formats, which may have been a factor (although, as stated before, I've been doing that and using Atlantic for ...

Just opened software as usual, and it shows CPU on between 3%-7%, and memory at 44%. Atlantis is using 0.1% CPU and between 139.8 - 185.3 MB RAM. If I close all other software (by which I mean obvious software such as CorelDraw, etc), memory usage is about 33%.

Thanks for the response, Robert. This PC is a year old, and has 16 GB RAM (DD4). It might be an issue because I sometimes have CorelDraw 2021 open at the same time, which can eat RAM for breakfast, so combined with a large number of big documents open in Atlantis that would make sense! However, this...

I'm having a similar issue following the last couple of updates, although not sure there's a connection. I usually have open several files at once, some of which can be circa. 900 pages long. I'm starting to get 'out of memory' come up most days. I thought it might be connected with the back-up disk...
