Re: Automatic jump to the first search result in the document window

Thank you, admin, and just a word of appreciation: you folks are the most responsive software engineers I've ever come across, God bless you!

I've you ever get time to do a spreadsheet, now that would be something (I currently use Spread32 for same basic calculations, and Excel for most work, but ...

Re: Automatic jump to the first search result in the document window

My point is, after a search when I enter text into the document at a searched point other than the first, in the document itself the cursor quickly jumps back to the first point in the 'Find What' results, rather defeating the purpose of finding the point in the document itself. This happens without ...

Re: Automatic jump to the first search result in the document window

Yep, am aware of 'cancel search', but it adds in another step compared to the previous version. To explain...

The annoying bit is this: upon searching, and then clicking on a search result other than the top one, when I enter new text into the document near the searched-for text the cursor ...

Re: Automatic jump to the first search result in the document window

Hi, have just installed the update and find the new feature really, really annoying for my workflow!

Is there an option to turn if off? If not, can we have one please, thank you!

Re: Save as Open Document Text (.odt)

Thanks for the explanation. My issue is I receive a mix of files in different formats from other people, including ODT, rather than produce them myself. I can (and do) save them to other formats, but obviously it'd be quicker for me if I didn't have to do so. No worries, though, sounds like the ...

Re: Save as Open Document Text (.odt)

It would be useful to me as well if we could save in .odt format as well as open such files! Here's hoping!

Re: Track changes

Well... I've been doing it for years now and for my purposes it is not at all cumbersome. I work with 900+ page files with hundreds if not thousands of such notes and it works seamlessly. However, I imagine it depends on your own requirements. Someone mentioned this method previously on this forum ...

Re: Track changes

I now use Calibri font (and blue colour) to type in text for 'hidden notes' (my term) inline, while never using that font for work which is not 'hidden notes'.
When a project is ready, I save it, open again and save a new copy under another name, so retain the 'notes' in the master document, then ...

Second instance with own settings

I'd love it if it were possible to open a second instance of Altantis with different settings remembered compared to a first opened instance.

The scenario is like this: Altantis opens, and loads multiple files with remembered settings. Then a second instance is opened in a separate window with its ...

Re: Latest update

The culprit, for me at least, is the Auto-correct option 'Replace "quotes" with " ". Deselecting gets rid of the issue, but of course also gets rid of the nice curly quotation marks in favour of boring straight ones!

Re: Pasteboard

My original idea was not for a clipboard feature, but a normal file which could be displayed as a side panel, in a wrap-around window so text doesn't run out of view, with this side panel window being viewable all the time while having open numerous files in the main window. It would perform like a ...

Re: Pasteboard

Well I've tried using Ditto for a while, and it is very good at what it does, it's still not delivering what I'm after in practice which remains as shown above. Having a single panel like an rtf. document instead of snippets would fit the bill, at least for me! Not a criticism of Ditto because it ...

Re: Pasteboard

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the answer. I've tried various clipboard managers before, but they don't really deliver what I'm after because I'd like to leave some text in place and add more text, and cut it, at will. In other words some text will be from clipboard, some won't because it'll be left in situ ...
