Re: How to undo auto-indent?

No problem here. I just want to throw in my "two cents" of advice and commentary.

First, all of that back-and-forth discussion was too much for my poor brain to keep up with. But I did understand the general nature of the problem.

The person asking the question about auto-indent seems to have ...

Re: Document Bar: exact position on the bottom

I would agree with the Admin on this.

Personally, I like the way it looks now, and I really do not see a truly logical connection between the name of a file and the superior or inferior position of an information bar. If anything, it seems better to put that bar at the bottom, because the bar ...

Re: Bug in Atlantis

Everything is working fine now, just as in the past. Thanks!

Now I can get back to working on my "how to" article on how to create and use Styles in Atlantis.

I knew I was not crazy. :D

Re: Bug in Atlantis

To be more specific: What happens is that the created Style still exists, now under a new name. You can look at the code for it, and the code is there. You can even apply the Style to any paragraph, and it will work.

But the paragraphs that had the same code, under the old name , revert to the ...

Bug in Atlantis

Hello, all ...

I believe that I have discovered a bug in Atlantis (version 5.0.0.3).

I checked this carefully, and I have no recollection of ever seeing this behavior before.

DESCRIPTION
You create a Style, based on Normal, and use it to tag some paragraphs. Everything works fine.
Then you ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly

Hi, Wildchild ... I am really glad that you found that you could use .docx successfully to do what you wanted.

I wanted to say a few additional things before we move on.

(1) The RTF format. Big sigh here. It seems to work very well when Atlantis is creating or reading it. Until recently I was ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly

Okay, Wildchild ... I just this evening found your message (and its attached document excerpt). I solved your problem in about two minutes of looking things over. I can easily put as many blank lines as I want at the top of your Chapter Title.

However, I do not think that I can explain all of this ...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 5 announcement

Thank you.

Atlantis is a wonderful application. I am using it right now to create a couple of stage play templates for people who do not have dedicated script software but are able to create .rtf/.docx files. I decided to do this after I repeatedly saw questions about stage play format on Reddit.

Re: PDF Issue in Tables

Thank you for the quick reply. I am sending you four attached files for your consideration. However, I have some important insight into the problem now.

It appears that the font (Courier Prime) is somehow the problem. Acting on my intuition, I decided to try creating a PDF with Atlantis , but with ...

Re: PDF files produced with Atlantis: Problem with hyperlinks

A comment and a couple of questions slightly related to the original problem.

First, I intend to use the Atlantis "Save as PDF" as much as I can. Atlantis is truly a wonderful application.

My questions:
1. What is so special about Sumatra PDF (which is free) that you want to use it preferentially ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly

Okay ... I have been working with this kind of thing (styles, formatting, templates) for about forty years. I know that I could add another blank line at the top of your document, but I believe you when you say that you cannot. There must be something in the code that affects the addition of a blank ...

Atlantis v. 5.0.0.1

In searching for the straight double quote (decimal 34) I discovered that the search is stopping on the straight single quote (decimal 39).

I did not investigate further.

Re: How to prevent text such as "10/16" from displaying as a fraction by default

In my case, Atlantis is completely up to date at version 4.4.6.4.

I should have included that information. Sorry.

Windows (version 11) reports that my system is up to date. I checked the fractions issue again just now. Single-digit numbers like 7/8 will convert to a real fraction. But something ...

Re: How to prevent text such as "10/16" from displaying as a fraction by default

Interesting phenomenon. I could not reproduce it.

Atlantis has an option (Tools > Autocorrect Options) to produce fractions from things like 7/8 or 2/3. But I could not get it to work for numbers greater than a single digit.

Does it do this for other fractions like 11/13 or 10/19?

You can create ...

The PDF feature will be nice. Thank you for that.

Re: Applying Styles

If I understand what you are talking about, you can already do this. It has been a long time since I used the feature, but here is how I remember it.

You use the Control Board, where you select the Format Palette. You can create tags like SansSerif-10B (you create a name) for a desired font (e.g ...
