The main text I work with is as follows:
Font: Garamond 12 point
Paragraph: Justified
First Line Indent: 0.2
Line Spacing: Multiple 1.15
However, every document I open the text is:
Paragraph: Left
Line Spacing: Single
This occurs whether I open an .rtf or a .docx document. Is this occurring ...

Permanently delete Styles
I've been using Atlantis almost since it came out and I have a lot of Styles that I no longer use. However, every time I open a new document every single Style I have ever used comes up and has to be deleted one-by-one. Is there any way to permanently delete these unnecessary and unneeded Styles? I ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly
You're right I have too much trouble following your instructions. I am not very computer savvy. I did, however, find out while playing around that if I save the document as a .docx from Word and then import that into Atlantis all of my spacing stays correct. I have always worked with RTFs before so ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly
Well, I have tried both methods several times. The first one doesn't work at all and the second one just keeps pulling the Chapter 2 heading out of the document and inserting it after Chapter 1. I'm modifying the Heading 1 style to include that spacing before since that's where I need the line added ...

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly
This is the file as it's done in Office 2007 Word showing the spacing of the lines I want at the beginning of each chapter.

Re: Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly
How do I include a picture in here? I have taken screen shots of both the document open in Office 2007 Word and Atlantis Version 4.4.6.0. And the Word RTF is opened directly by Atlantis. And I have no idea why it won't let me use the enter key in an open document. The P I'm using to try and show ...

Re: Installed Windows font won't show up in Atlantis
I have had this font on the computer for several years and it was installed for all users.
Office 2007 Word and Atlantis are the only word processing programs on the computer.
I can email the font to you.

Imported RTF from Word not formatting correctly
I start all of my RTF documents in Office 2007 Word and then import them to Atlantis to finish the work. The problem is that the documents are not importing with the correct formatting. As an example I format the chapter heading thusly:
^p
^p
Chapter One
^p
^p
^p
Chapter contents
When I import it ...

Re: Installed Windows font won't show up in Atlantis
There is also the fact that the font will show up on the Tool Bar but immediately disappears when I try to modify Heading 1 to match Chapter 10
Image3.jpg
You can see that it shows on the Tool Bar but not in the Modify Heading 1. I really need this font to show up in your list of installed fonts!

Installed Windows font won't show up in Atlantis
I have a font that is installed on my PC that I use a lot when creating RTFs in Office Word. When I move the RTF over to Atlantis for the final processing before turning it into an epub that font is not there. I am referring to the Cochin RomanItalic Italic font show here as installed in the ...

That process removes almost all of the formatting, including fragments of formatting that I want to keep. I can't seem to get a photo in here to show what I mean.

Lost RTF Formatting
I do a lot of my RTF formatting in Office Word 2007 and then bring the document into Atlantis to finish the formatting and convert to epub. The document I am currently working on loses all text formatting when I bring the document into Atlantis and try to get rid of the Styles I don't need in the ...

Delete several styles at one time
I currently have a group of documents that I'm working on that use the same set of styles. However, every time I open one of those documents in Atlantis is opens with every single style that I have ever used. That means to get a clear listing of the styles I need I have to delete about 150 ...

Applying Styles
If I create a document using what I call Main Style that is great. However, sometimes I need to apply a new style to just one word in a paragraph but can't as Atlantis will apply it to the whole paragraph. It would be great if you could give us the option for selective style applying like Word 2007 ...

Lost RTF first line
I have Atlantis version 4.4.5.3 and normally I love it. I create a lot of my RTFs in Word 2007 as that allows me to change the style of just one word or phrase in a paragraph instead of Atlantis applying a style to the whole paragraph. My problem is that an RTF saved like this:
^p
^p
Chapter ...

Indication of Heading
I'm not sure this is titled right but Atlantis (and I don't remember which version I was previously using) used to put a little square next to a heading to indicate it had been applied. I'm now using version 4.3.6.2 and there is just a blank space not when you apply a style or a heading. Is there ...

Thanks but I'm not trying to create a drop cap. I'm not computer literate enough to understand how the suggested articles recommendations apply to my problem. This is the line that allows the squaring effect to the image: <p class="p0"><img src="images/img1.jpg" width="80" height="96" alt="img1.jpg ...
