locked words?

Hi! I have another strange question...
is it possible to avoid a word from moving (being pushed forward) while inserting text in front of that word? It works a little bit when I use the tab key while putting that word on a place, but after inserting a lot of text, the words are moving ayway. Maybe this is to much to ask within a word processor, probally it is something that is found in a spreadsheet or so. Is there some way around to do this anyway?

A document word does not have a fixed location on a page.

You could make your tab character much wider by placing a custom tab stop mark on the horizontal ruler:
