puttting alternative commands into main command set

I still find this very difficult. I want the buttons for calculate and sort a >z and z > a to appear on the main command set toolbar .. how exactly do I do it. I tried dragging in customize but does not work for me thanks

You have got to drag & drop within the "Tools | Toolbars..." dialog. From the left pane ("Main set of commands > Commands") to the right pane ("Main set of commands > Panels"), choosing the appropriate location in the right pane.
Of course, you must choose the source command type and command on the left, and the target toolbar set on the right ("Standard", "Formatting", etc).
