Sorry, I incorrectly reported something about the "aggravating feature" I mentioned in another thread. The symbol that comes up is a pencil adjacent to a cursor... It seems to be some "sweep" feature that renders whatever you "sweep" in previous style... The aggravating part is that I can't highlight anything, would like to disable it, but can't. It is NOT "Click and Paste," as I've turned that on and off, doesn't seem to affect this "aggravating feature."

Such a "pencil" is associated with either the "Highlight (Color)" or the "Font Color" mode. The corresponding toolbar buttons are toggle buttons (see pictures below). Click on these buttons to deactivate the corresponding modes. Click again to reactivate. Use the down arrow buttons attached to these buttons to pull down color palettes and change font or highlight color that the pencil will apply.
