Block indents - why is it fractions of an inch?

Post by cognitrix »

I have set the default measurement unit to centimeters and all my tabs to 1 cm intervals.

Why is it that when I use the "Increase Left Indent" button I get block indents which are in inches? I get either 1.27 inches or 0.64 inches.

What needs to be done so it will do the indents in centimeters?

Regards,
Ted

Changing the measurement system cannot affect the absolute value used by the "Increase/Decrease Indent". Under any measurement system, indents are increased/decreased by the same absolute value measured in so called points (1 point = 1/72 logical inch).

If indents are set in terms of points, then how can they be altered?
What if I want them to be 28 points?

If they can't be changed, then will this be a feature that could be added to a future version of Atlantis?

You can request features (as a matter of fact, there is a separate forum section meant for feature requests). But we cannot give you any timetable, or even tell whether a particular feature will be implemented or not.
