keeping things together...

Post by Andremusic »

Hi,
how can I avoid that a line gets seperated from text that is following it when there is a paragraph in between? I have put a screenshot with this mail to explain it better.

in my example, I want to avoid that "11" stays at the bottom at a page while the next text appears on a new page.

You should select the paragraph containing "11" and the blank paragraph that follows it, then apply the "Keep with next paragraph" attribute to the selected paragraphs ("Format | Paragraph... > Page & Lines Breaks"). But normally page numbers are used in headers/footers.

Thanks,
this is not a page number, but a kind of scene number that seperates pieces of action inside the story. The numbers therefore need to be connected to the text that follows and need to have a emptey space between them.
