selflearning hyphenation

Post by Andre »

Hi,
I am writing in dutch and because the hyphenation doesn't support Dutch yet, I am using the manuel option. I was wondering if it would be possible for Atlantis to remember the words that already has be hyphenationed... so I don't need to recheck these words again. Is there an option somewhere for this?

Custom hyphenation dictionaries (or custom lists of hyphenation patterns) can be built through the "Tools | Hyphenation > Customize" or "Tools | Hyphenation > Manual > Customize" dialogs. But the problem is that the present version of Atlantis does not use custom hyphenation dictionaries for languages unsupported by the Hyphenation feature of Atlantis (the Hyphenation feature of the present version of Atlantis supports only two languages: English and French). Strictly speaking, even if you have a custom hyphenation dictionary for the Dutch language, the "Tools | Hyphenation > Manual" feature of Atlantis would not automatically suggest the hyphenation patterns from your custom hyphenation dictionary.

The next release of Atlantis Ocean Mind will allow to use custom hyphenation dictionaries (or custom lists of hyphenation patterns) for any language. You could compose your own hyphenation patterns for the Dutch language, and the "Tools | Hyphenation > Manual" feature of Atlantis would automatically suggest your custom patterns.
