Atlantis reloads documents if the Reload Open Documents On Startup option is checked (the Tools | Options..., the General tab).

>How do I get the documents on the document bar
>back to 0?

Not sure that understood what you mean...
If you ask how to close currently open documents, use the File | Close or File | Close All command.

>Also how do I delete old documents.

Use your Windows Explorer to delete document files.

Try this:

Tools>Options>General, and uncheck "Continuous numeration" See if that helps

Thanks Max its done the trick. Have you any idea why atlantis starts up slow compared to how it used to. I have had to format my hard drive and reinstall all my programs, does this help you to work it out? thanks.

I have no idea why Atlantis has gone slow on you. Mine is as fast as ever, faster now that I've killed the splash screen. I'm sorry, but are you sure you haven't installed anything else that might be slowing you down?

It can't hurt,as long as all your personalised Atlantis settings are backed up first.I know this is a real dumb question, but when was the last time you defragged?

Why not Ctrl-Alt_Del, to see what's running, and then shut everything non-essential down. Start Atlantis, and see if it is faster with everything else off. Then try adding the other app.s listed in the "Close Program" box one at a time, until you find the problem.

It seems the slowing down of Atlantis could be due to the customisation of Atlanis's tool bar. Any other users had the same problem???

You could easily check this. Just delete the Atlantis.ats (Atlantis Tollbar Settings) file from the home folder of Atlantis.
If Atlantis still works slowly, there is another reason.

By the way, do you have an antivirus utility working on background?

Could you tell the CPU clock (MHz) of your computer?

D'Oh! I should have though about AV apps. You don't use that bloated crapware Norton do you? McAfee's not much better as a resource hog from what I hear.

Norton is famous for being a resource hog. One MVP whose opinion I valu said "Norton does not have clients, only victims". For good, light AV app.s, try AVG from grisoft.com, or eTrust EZ antivirus from ca.com I used to have Norton installed, md I know how it can slow things down. Apparently pc-cillin is also a good av app
