Since Atlantis has no line tool, I insert lines (bitmapped or created with tab headers) from templates via the View/Insert/File Menu.
When I insert the lines from the new Clip Library only the graphic lines are implemented into the new document but not the tab leader lines.
Same thing with a line of numbers set at consecutive tabstops: the numbers are inserted but not at the original tab settings and not the leaders.
Any idea how I could preserve tab leaders and settings when inserting from the clip library ?
Regards,
Rolf
Inserting from library omits tab leaders
Tab stops, alignment, line spacing, and a number of other characteristics are characteristics of a paragraph. When you apply alignment or line spacing to a paragraph, it is applied to all its characters.Any idea how I could preserve tab leaders and settings when inserting from the clip library ?
The paragraph end mark of each paragraph (the last character of each paragraph) stores the formatting characteristics of a paragraph.
As you might know, the last paragraph end mark of a clip is always ignored when this clip gets inserted. If your clip contains a single paragraph end mark, no paragraph end marks would be inserted to the target document. If no paragraph end marks inserted, no paragraph formatting (alignment, tab stops, line spacing, etc) would be inserted to the document as well.
If your clip has paragraph formatting which should be inserted to the documents, you should simply include a spare paragraph end mark to your clip. For this, open your clip in Atlantis, press Ctrl+End, then press Enter to add one more paragraph end mark.
