We'd like to try and solve this faxing problem.
But we need a fax number to send trial faxes to.
Could anyone provide a fax number so that we could run faxing tests?
Please send your fax number to comments@rssol.com

Re: Faxing Problems
Hi, Guest!Guest wrote: I feel this is a problem with Atlantis, not my fax. As I have said it worked ok with older versions of Atlantis.
I just installed Mighty Fax v.3.06 on Windows XP Home Edition.
I sent faxes from latest Atlantis beta, using the Mighty Fax Printer Driver.
Everything went fine.
So it appears that your faxing problems might very well be due to causes external to Atlantis.
In any case they appear to be system-dependent.
Are you sure that you did not install another application that might conflict with your fax printer driver, such as a firewall, an antivirus, an antivirus update, a new printer, some new hardware, etc?
Have you tried sending faxes from WordPad or NotePad?
Have you tried reinstalling Atlantis and/or your fax printing driver/application?
Have you tried updating your version of Mighty Fax (latest version is v.3.06)?
Cheers,
Robert

Hi, Guest!Guest wrote: I have tried the upgrade to mighty fax, works ok with other applications, I only have problems with Atlantis. When I click on printer and select mighty fax it freezes Atlantis. There is nothing else I can see that causes the problem. Very many thanks for all your help.
You never said which system you are working under. Is it Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP?
Which version of Atlantis are you running? Is it the latest beta version?
Have you tried to reinstall the current "standard" non-beta version of Atlantis?
Can you send faxes from that version?
Are your faxes created and saved as DOC or RTF files?
If they are DOC files, which type are they? MS Word 6.0/95 or MS Word 97/2000?
If they are DOC files, maybe you could try using RTF files instead.
Have you tried closing all other running applications before sending faxes from Atlantis?
Cheers,
Robert

Re: Faxing Problem (3)
Hi!Guest wrote: The only way I can fax using Atlantis is to, Minimize to system tray. and continue to fax, then when I reopen Atlantis from system try I can then close Atlantis, other wise I have to... Ctrl+ALT+Del to end task of Atlantis.
All other progs will fax.
If you want us to help you, you need to answer the questions I already asked in my previous message. Otherwise, we won't be able to do anything to help you.

I am using windows 98. I have tried both Atlantis current version and the latest beta. And I have tried all DOC,RTF and all of word. I have uninstalled Mighty fax and Atlantis. Still freezes Atlantis, I have closed all other running programs. I have noticed that when using mighty fax's phone book to select the fax number to dial, then Atlantis freezes. Have I missed anything out to tell you. Many thanks.

Sorry but we were unable to find out what might be causing this.Guest wrote: I am using windows 98. I have tried both Atlantis current version and the latest beta. If you upgrade to Windows XP, you might want to try the original inbuilt Windows XP fax services (Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Add/Remove Windows Components / tick "Fax Services" & have your xp disk ready)
