Shadows?

Post by Robert »

Hi!

What shadows are you talking about?
Do the document characters have shadows on your monitor screen?
In which case you most probably have a problem with your system display.

Or are you talking about the shadow displayed around the document edges?
This is a standard feature of word processors. You would find the same
kind of shadowing in MS Word. It helps most people to visualize the
document page and edges more easily.

Or are you talking about something else still?
Could you please be more specific?

Hello Robert, It is the shadow displayed around the document edges. I find it most annoying. Many thanks.

You are the only one to ever have shown such a distate for the document page shadowing. This is a standard feature of the Page mode with word processors.

But here is an easy solution for you:

1) Launch "Tools | Options..." from the Atlantis main menu.
2) Click on the "Colors" tab.
3) Browse down the "Item" list box and select the "Page Border and Shadow" component.
4) Now pull down the "Color" drop-down list on the right, then click on "Other..."
5) Click on "Custom Color..."
6) Enter the following RGB values:

Red = 172
Green = 168
Blue = 153

7) Click on "OK", then again on "OK" in the Options dialog.

The shadow around the document edges will have the same color as that of the background and will be perfectly invisible.

Note that I am assuming that the the "Interpage Space" component has still its default settings on your system, i.e. "System Color". If you have changed that value, you should make sure that the color values of the "Page Border and Shadow" and of the"Interpage Space" components coincide.
