Is it possible to stop Nova jumping to the next page?

I often use Nova for reading e-books, usually reading approximately in the middle of the screen. As the cursor is at the bottom of the screen, when it reaches the end of the page, it jumps to the beginning of the next page which moves the line I am reading up to the top. This can be a bit disconcerting, so is it possible to stop this behaviour so that the page scrolls smoothly?

Please make sure that the "Anticipatory scrolling" box (Tools | Options, Edit) is unchecked.

I admit that a word processor isn't the ideal environment for continuous reading of books and I do have a dedicated reader installed. However, because only one of the programs can be associated with *.rtf, I decided to try to use Nova for reading. It's a minor niggle, but would make Nova ever better than it is, for my useage at least.

You could use "Alt+Up Arrow" or "Alt+Down Arrow" for "smoother" scrolling.

You might want to adjust the font and the colour of the text for easier reading. Some prefer Comic Sans as a smooth character font, or Arial as a business style font or something calligraphy-based like Monotype Corsiva or even BlackChancery. Georgia is like Times New Roman yet wider spaced characters. Adjusting font sizes, bold, italics etc may help. Some prefer paragraph styles to have double-spacing yet other will prefer single line spacing...

You can alter the document view to page width or change layout to landscape if you prefer the widescreen look! You can also reduce the size of the window itself to appear centre screen. That allows for another program in the background displaying characters from the story... eg from a website based on the book.

Some folks like editing stories to have a dropdown capital to start off each paragraph or use a clip art alphabet.

Even if you find a website has a font you haven't got and can't find, you can still highlight that webpage's html source and replace it with the story's text thus creating a new webpage with some beautiful embedded font...

Check poetry websites as they may have a font you like!
