non-printing characters

In regard to version 1.5.0.2, Whatever happened to visible non-printing characters (tab, paragraph, et cetera)? Select all, select none, select any combination, they remain invisible. Not an immeasurably huge deal, but of occasional inconvenience.

It's still there. Select what symbols you want to view (under Tools-Options-View-Special Symbols), then toggle their display by clicking the Paragraph marker symbol (next to the zoom percentage).

At least it works for me.

The "Tools | Options" dialog (the "View" tab) allows to specify which special symbols should be visible under the "View | Special Symbols" mode toggled on. If the "View | Special Symbols" mode is off, all special symbols are always invisible.

Okay. I hear you both, but no matter which characters I select, nothing shows, and I am unable to ocate a "special symbols" toggle.

Please use the "View | Special Symbols" main menu command (or press Ctrl+Shift+8) to toggle

"Hide all special symbols" / "Show the special symbols specified on the View tab of the Tools|Options dialog".
