Default Font

Anyone know how to change the default font from Courier?
I have tried to do this by changing the font in the Styles (Normal) box but it only applies to that particular document and not globally.

Any suggestions?

Another question... Is it possible to change the default saving of files from RTF to Plain Text without having to choosing Text in the Save As Menu each time?

Please choose "File | New | Formats & Templates..." menu command, then use the "Default format for new documents" box to select the desired format.
