Detecting Font Spacing

Post by JPh1 »

Sometimes, when I copy text, the font spacing is not set. This causes small gaps between some letters, as shown in the small attached file where the fist line, copied, shows a gap between the é and the e, not present in the second line which I retyped and has a Normal spacing.

How do I search a document for missing Font Spacing directive in order to replace it with Normal Spacing?

Alternatively, Spacing could be enforced in the Style (both lines are said to have Normal style).

Display the “Reveal Formatting” panel of the Control Board.
You will get this:

Use the “Eraser” button to remove that direct formatting.

This would take longer and be complicated but to search a document for missing Font Spacing directive, you need to first search for “Normal” Font Spacing, select all occurrences, then press “Ctrl+K,A” to invert the selection. You can then apply “Normal” Font Spacing to the (multiple) selection.
