I am uploading a PDF to Createspace that was created by printing the Atlantis RTF to a virtual printer - FoxIt.
Foxit print settings are at 300 image DPI - gray.
When I upload the resulting file to Createspace it complains that the two picture files embedded in the document are not at 300 DPI. It says they are at about 120- DPI.
I've checked both images with Xnview and Win8-properties and they say 300 dpi. Does Atlantis modify the DPI at all or is there an issue with Foxit?
UPDATE: never mind....you can delete this, or leave it as a reference I suppose.
I just insert-picture a much higher resolution image and the problem went away.
300 DPI of images. Atlantis, FoxIt and Createspace
Hi,
Here is from Misunderstandings about dpi:

In short, and if I understand things well enough, DPI is a printing value. Pictures do not have DPI properties, they only have pixels.
So you need source pictures with enough pixels, i.e. with enough resolution, if you want them to be “printed” with enough “dots” on the specified “paper” size.
On the same subject, you might want to take a look at What is DPI? (and what is 300 dpi? and what is a high resolution photo?), and Changing the DPI.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert
