Russian Spellcheker

Post by Cr@zY »

First of all sorry for my bad English :D

This program is realy good, espesialy with features that i have discovered in the lastest version. I think if Atlantis will progress at the same rate like now after half'a'year or may be little later it will become a real alternative to MS Word and of course more stable than MS product, but there is one problem that stops me of buying it - there is no russian spellcheker - yo know... that IS problem, when you live in Russia and yiur native language is Russian respectively :) I send e-mail to authors but i have no reply on it  (may be that is a problem of e-mail service not Atlantis Team but i send e-mail two times). And so I decided to post my message on forum:
do you even plan to release Russian spellcheker? You know, this is a REALLY important question for me :)

The problem semas to be not so big.
If the Author would not release this dictionary, then we (users) will do this.
The only barier is to find the encription/decrition method for driver="ssce.drv".

Now I am still indulgent on this problem, but if till the end of the year there will be no spelling - I'll be forced to do it for myself. There is a BIG market for this kind of product - the hole Soviet Former States.
But in this case, there will be no purchase from me and others like me.

This is not an ULTIMATUM this is only a warning message. I sugest to Author to think seriously about.

Regrettably the Russian spellchecker for Atlantis should not be expected in the nearest future.

may i?..
you promised the russian spellchecker almost one year ago. and naive muscovites are waiting it till now. Let's just write - "Spellcheckers for other languages will be available later BESIDES RUSSIAN (and Ukraine :))."
I?m afraid it?s more real to see an irokezian spellchecker here, than russian one.
Sorry for english.

The sense of my rhetoric was reduced to simple when to appear check of spelling for Russian. And also very much it would would be desirable that in Atlantis appear tables.

What's the problem, guys?

I am pissed not for the fact that this wonderful text editor does not have Russian spellchecker, but rather for the way its creators communicate with their willing distributors! One thing is to critisize the behemoth (i.e. Microsoft) for not being friendly with the customers - quite another is to show the way. We want to know - what is the problem you have with the creation of Russian spellchecker and if we can help you to solve it! Stop mumbling about this - tell us straight. We are on your side. Or give us the code and we will do it ourselves.
