I have frequently posted pictures which I copied to their accompanying articles for my own use. I never paid attention to how these file were saved - they always just worked. Currently, the properties say that it was saved as a .rtf.
Well, I brought my pc out of hibernation today and the picture of my g.son and I, which I had copied from an e-mail, was no longer visible and the frame had the word 'Picture' right in the middle of it. I got curious and called up a couple of files which were all photos and got the same result. When I Lt clicked on the file name and then chose properties, it says that there are xxx MB and it was saved as an .rtf document. Any file that has these types of pictures in them act like that. What the hell did I do? How can I get them back? Please tell me that they aren't all lost because I have years wrapped up in these woodworking and gunsmithing files. Please respond, somebody! O-Paw is about to blow his top. Please help!!
Can no longer paste pictures
This is only a display option. It can speed up the loading of documents with many big pictures when you only want to edit their textual part.
In any case, it does not affect the way the documents print, or are saved. Even when they are temporarily invisible, the pictures remain an integral part of the documents.
HTH.

Robert
