Text is deleted when adding text before existing text.

I'm having a problem that I can't seem to figure out because I don't know what I did to start the problem. Anyway, here's my problem. After I type a sentence and say for instance I want to add another word into that sentence or put in a space or something it erases the text in front of the cursor instead of just adding the word in between the other words in the sentence. Could somebody please help me. I would really, really appreciate it because I'm trying to write a novel here. I'm two chapters into it all ready and I have plenty of ideas to keep me going. So, could you help? krb.crc

Hi Bolter,
I suspect you have accidentally pressed the "insert" or "overtype" key on your keyboard. Esaily done. Pressing this key again should give you back the behaviour you want.
