With a non-Latin font-family name, neither the font name nor the characters can be displayed by Atlantis. Also such fonts can't be embedded when the document is save as epub.
I tried, without success, to add such fonts manually into epubs. Since I am not very familiar with the syntax, I may have made mistakes. It should be possible, according to #74 of:
http://www.mobileread.mobi/forums/showt ... 775&page=8
I also replaced non-Latin font-family names with Latin ones, using Fontographer. But the modified font doesn't work correctly. But, it is the first time I use Fontographer.
Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
I can give details of my trials if needed.
Problems with non-Latin font-family names
Hi Robert,
I am attaching here Non-Latin font in AWP - jinwen.zip, including:
- The font: 中研院金文.TTF
- A document docx with some description: Non-Latin font in AWP - jinwen.docx
- The same in doc format: Non-Latin font in AWP - jinwen.doc
- Screen capture in AWP: Non-Latin font in AWP 01.jpg
NB. TTC font (collection of several TTF in one file) is another problem.
Thanks in advance.
PS. Zip size 1635 KB. "The Attachment is too big. Max Size: 256 KB". I'll host it somewhere after lunch.
