| Spent much time over the weekend testing this latest beta.
Unfortunately there are just too many anomalies to fir comfortably with the way I work. 1.5.6.8 might be great for some, but it's definitely not for me.
The final straw was not being able to uninstall it through Control Panel or a 3rd party uninstaller I use.
I've uninstalled 1.6.5.8 and reverted to 1.5.6.7. I'll be very cautious about installing 1.5.6.8 when it is out of Beta testing.

I think that it is just a matter of habit.

Could you please be more specific: what do you mean by "was not being able to uninstall"? Note that portable copies of Atlantis cannot be uninstalled through the Windows Control Panel. A portable copy of Atlantis is not linked to any copy of Windows. To uninstall a portable copy of Atlantis, all you need is remove the home folder of Atlantis from your removable drive with a file manager.
