Atlantis for Writers

Post by Eduardo »

I second Andygrunt request to display multiple documents in the same window. Word processors were, for the longest time, the practical vehicle to put down words. However, when the time came to use the materials needed (research, etc.) it proved to be an inefficient and daunting task. They were spread everywhere. I mean, in papers, cards or other dedicated software. These limitations proved to be tedious and slowed down the process of creative writing and of those users in academic, scientific and journalistic fields.

Besides the introduction of tables (personally I don't need them), minor tweaks here and there, quite frankly Atlantis is the perfect word processor. It does beautifully what it is supposed to do. Nevertheless, we are living now a different era for word processors: we need tools that can actually be useful.
Atlantis can be a major player if it works towards creative writing. Keeping all the present functions, it would be like no other piece of software in the planet.

Through a dedicated task bar called “Writer”, for example, we could have the following functions:

– Chapter and scene creation (Scrivener type)
– Notes
– Research
– Revisions
– Overused Words – (already implemented)
– Frequencies – (already implemented)
– Overlong sentences – (already implemented)

With these functions implemented, Atlantis can reach the traditional user, plus writers, poets, academic students, professors, journalists and so on.

Please think about it.

Kind regards.

P.S. I love Atlantis and think this word processor has the potential to lead in the traditional field and dedicated field, arms down. A gold mine.
