Today I installed Google Chrome and Apple's Safari web browsers to see if they were better than my usual browser, IE8. At the moment, Safari is the default browser.
I then ran Atlantis and happened to click on a link which would usually fire up IE and show me the web page. When I try this now, I get the following error message box pop up:
"Error launching Web browser.
You might wish to visit this URL manually:
http://www [and so on]
Atlantis has placed this URL onto the clipboard."
Before I have a chance to even click the 'OK' button on the dialogue box, Safari fires up and loads the relevant web page as expected i.e. it works fine. Given this, why does Atlantis show this error message?
This happens with whatever link I click on. I can't see any options in Atlantis that might affect this e.g. no option to elect a browser to use - I assume it just uses whatever the default Windows browser is.
Error message when clicking a web link
Atlantis does use the default Web browser indeed.
When Safari is the default Web browser, and Atlantis asks Windows to "execute" a hyperlink's URL, Windows returns a strange error "file not found" which makes no sense in case with Web URLs. The official version of Atlantis 1.6.4 will ignore this error, and no Safari-specific error message will be displayed.

Sorry admin this was last week, I tried to log on to the forum twice and nod 32 advised me not to load the web page, as it was a virus threat. I seem to remember I had the same problem some months ago. Not much help I’m sure. I even tried to email you from Atlantis help, how to get support and had the same warning. Sorry to be so vague.
