Any idea when the minor release will be out?
Thanks.
Cheers.

Minor release
As you might know, the main new feature of the upcoming release of Atlantis Word Processor will be the Overused Words. The new release is delayed because the support for the inflected forms of English words needs more time to be implemented than we initially anticipated. But the good side of this is that the Overused Words of Atlantis will be much smarter and will provide writers with more useful information. Below are some screen captures of the Overused Words dialog of Atlantis:

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for your patience.
Thank you very much for the information. This is a very useful feature that will have a major impact within the writer's community. I will make sure that I have all my friends informed about it.
I do have however two questions:
- Is this function active with all the spellers that Atlantis supports?
- Does it highlight within the document all the overused words?
Also (my third one, sorry) is that a way we can try it soon?
Thanks for your time.
Take care.

The "Overused Words" dialog of Atlantis will have two tabs. The first tab will be "Repetitions":

It will report individual repetitions in a document ("too close" words or phrases) when you click the "Previous" or "Next" button:

You could review a reported repetition, and either ignore it (if you believe that it is not a problem, ie your text still sounds good), or rework the corresponding sentence or paragraph by adding more text between the repeated words/phrases, or by replacing one of the words with a synonym.
The second tab of the "Overused Words" dialog will provide authors with the overall statistics for document words and phrases:

It will be possible to navigate among individual instances of any document word or phrase. This tab will help to detect "tired", "unwanted" and "overused" words.

It will be active with all the spellcheckers. But the built-in support for inflected forms (derivatives) and homophones will be offered for the English language only.Is this function active with all the spellers that Atlantis supports?
The first tab of this dialog will allow to highlight individual pairs of repeated words or phrases. Highlighting all the word repetitions with one click would make no practical sense because any change to the document text might affect other pairs of repeated words. Reviewing pairs of repeated words one by one is the most reliable and convenient technique.Does it highlight within the document all the overused words?
The upcoming version of Atlantis Word Processor will be available for betatesting. You could try it before the end of this month, I hope. As always, your comments and suggestions will be welcomed. Also (my third one, sorry) is that a way we can try it soon?
Atlantis Word Processor 1.6.2 is available for betatesting. You can download the new version from the betatesting page.
If you already have an older version of Atlantis Word Processor, please install this new version to the current home folder of Atlantis. Installing multiple instances of Atlantis to different folders on the same PC can create conflicts between those instances. The new beta is stable and safe to install. So there is no risk in overriding your current copy of Atlantis with this new beta.
As always, your comments are welcome.

Great work
Just ran 'Overused words' on a document I wrote during the week to discover I am blind - where the hell did all those repetitions come from!?
And thanks for adding the Writing time and Speed info – very useful.
My only suggestion so far is to add an ‘Overused Words’ icon so it doesn’t take up so much space (nudging other icons off) when I add it to my toolbar.
Thanks.
