Funky Spellchecking

Post by mikespeir »

Occasionally there will be a word I've added to the dictionary during spellchecking that will continue to be flagged as unrecognized. Even if I right-click on it and select the very word again from the list of suggestions it remains underlined.

I'm attaching a paragraph that demonstrates the problem.

The word "rudten" is the problem here.

I cannot reproduce any problem. Could you please send your custom dictionary (I mean the userdicen.tlx file from the "C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Spellcheck\Lex\" folder)? You could attach it to your reply, or email it as attachment to support@AtlantisWordProcessor.com.

Well, good grief! Now it's not doing it. I don't know what's going on.

Do you mean that you emailed your custom dictionary to support@AtlantisWordProcessor.com? It seems that we received no email from you. By the way, when you need to send us a file by email, please ZIP it before attaching to your email message.

Spellcheck Problem

I'll try again. Like I said, though, it's not doing it now. I'm sure I wasn't making a mistake before. I had manually spellchecked the document several times.

Thanks for the dictionary file.

A note regarding word capitalization. Your dictionary includes two case patterns of the same word: Rudten and rudten. This might lead to collisions. Only the lowest valid case pattern should be included in the dictionary. If "rudten" is a possible case pattern of your word, its capitalized version "Rudten" should be removed from the dictionary. Otherwise the lowercase version "rudten" should be removed. To edit your dictionary, please right-click any red-underlined word in your document, and choose the "Edit Dictionary..." command from the menu.
